CUSTOM RESTAURANT MENU COVERS AND MENU BINDERS

Menu by Design offers a wide range of restaurant menu cover styles to house your dining menus, wine lists, cocktail lists, lounge menus, hotel guest directories or even promotional material.

UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS WHEN SELECTING OR DESIGNING A CUSTOM MENU COVER

There are three major things that must be considered when designing a restaurant menu cover, menu binder or room directory:  the number of pages, the sheet size and the artwork.  Below are a few things to keep in mind when you are deciding what menu covers will work best for you. Once these factors have been decided then material choices and color can be made.

Ask yourself this question, “how many viewing pages is my menu?”

Designs for restaurant menu covers are based on how many pages your menu will be.  In order to make an effective decision about what products are right for you take a look at the number of viewing or readable pages you need to accommodate and build your custom menu cover from there.

Ask yourself this question, “what sheet size would I like to use?”

Menu by Design custom restaurant menu covers are built around the sheet size you plan to use.  As a custom business we are happy to make any restaurant menu cover or binder in any size. Tell us the sheet size (binding edge first) and we will build the cover to fit.  Standard sizing is always available but you are under no obligation to use a standard menu sheet size.   However if  you print your restaurant menu sheets in house we do suggest considering standard sizing to avoid having unnecessary paper waste created with extra trimming.

Standard insert sheet sizing includes:
8.5″ x 5.5″
11″ x 8.5″
11″ x 4.25″
14″ x 8.5″
14″ x 4.25″
17″ x 11″

Ask yourself this question, “how do I want my artwork to look on the front cover?”

Custom menu covers are brought to life by the artwork that is applied to the  menu cover. The price of a restaurant menu cover, menu binder or guest room directory is quoted based on the number of artwork applications it includes. Take a look at your logo or design and decide what kind of presentation or effect you are looking to achieve. Options include a blind deboss, foil stamping, screen printing, decals, windows for fixed or removable inserts, full colour print or a combination of these processes.
